We Buy Catholic Books

  • Always looking to purchase quality materials on all aspects of the Catholic faith: history, spirituality, theology, liturgy, novels, biographies, etc.
  • Mainly interested in older hardcover books (1960s or earlier)
  • Seeking large collections, libraries, and estates of quality books. We are not interested in purchasing individual books or small groups of books. We buy libraries from convents, monasteries and seminaries!

Purchasing is handled by Owen D. Kubik, who started the company in 1985 and is an accredited member of the ABAA (Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America) and the ILAB (International League of Antiquarian Booksellers). Personally, he is also honored to have been accepted into the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre.

Because selling a book collection can be difficult and emotional, we make the process as easy as possible. Catholic books are our specialty, and many of our regular customers are faithful Catholics who will give your books a respectful and appreciative new home.

We travel frequently so purchasing is by appointment only. If you have material to sell, please contact us by phone (937-294-0253) or by filling out the email form below.

We normally view the books in person and then make an offer based on our estimate of what the books are worth and how quickly we can sell them. Some books are valuable but may take years to sell while many may be good books for reading but of little collectible value. While we are based in Dayton Ohio, we purchase collections all over the United States, Canada, and Europe. We make regular buying trips to the Greater Chicago and Baltimore areas as well as throughout Ohio and surrounding states.

Unless negotiated otherwise, payment is immediate and we begin removing the material once an agreement is reached. We will package the items and arrange for transport on our own...you don't have to do a thing!

Donations

We understand that folks are reluctant to throw away religious books and would prefer that they continue to educate and inspire new generations. While we are only seeking out older hardcover books for purchasing, we do accept donations of other Catholic books. Small groups, modern paperbacks and single books can be brought to our Dayton storefront; for large donations, please contact us. We will use our network of bookselling contacts to keep the donated books in circulation; we only recycle books that are so damaged as to be unusable.
