An ex-Catholic priest's arguments against papal authority. The author had been a Paulist preacher, but was censured for his modernist tendencies and became a Unitarian. This book ended up on the Vatican's index of forbidden books (the Index Librorum Prohibitorum). The title page is dated 1914, but the jacket is dated 1917 (the first edition was published in 1910).
