London: Hatchard, 1799. First Edition, First Printing. Leather. 385p. A hardcover book bound in 3/4 brown leather with brown cloth boards. The corners are heavily scuffed, and there are lots of small rub marks on the spine, though the spine text remains legible. Pencil notation inside front cover; text otherwise unmarked by previous owners. The frontispiece is dampstained, and all pages are lightly foxed and age-toned. Some occasional light fingerprint smudges as well. The plates have faded slightly onto their facing pages. The binding is tight. Very good condition for an 18th-century book! Item #186406
