Among the many fine engravings are a foldout portrait of Alfred, Lord Tennyson; a Burmese white elephant imported by P.T. Barnum; a two-page spread of Durham Cathedral; a full-page portrait of Princess Louise, daughter of the future Edward VII; a hunter shooting a giraffe; a giant foldout depicting the Second Battle of El Teb; a color portrait of Major-General Gordon; and foldout color portraits of Princess Victoria of Hesse and her husband Prince Louis of Battenberg.
