Text in French. A biography of St. Francois de Laval (1623-1708), the first bishop of the Diocese of Quebec. He was canonized by Pope Francis in 2014. This copy belonged to Archbishop John B. Purcell of Cincinnati (1800-1883), whose signature is on the title page.
