A few small rub marks on front and back cover. Very small crack at top of front outer hinge. Ex Libris bookplates and the portrait of a bishop attached to front endpapers. Narrow tan lines in the gutter between some pages where old bookmarks once were. Otherwise, text clean and binding tight. An attractive copy in very good condition. Item #165925

All edges gilt. Five raised bands on spine. Attached ribbon page marker. Features marble endpapers with gilt-decorated leather borders. This was a special prize binding for an Anglican bishop, and is stated as such on a bookplate inside the front cover and in an inscription on a blank front endpaper.
