Edges rubbed, cloth speckeled with light stains, and hinges shaken, though binding is still tight enough for reading purposes. Tanning on endpapers; occasional foxing and fingerprint smudges on main pages. Early owner's gift inscription on front endpaper, dated 1884, and pencil scribbles on rear endpaper. An obviously much-used copy, but still readable. Item #187849
