The spine is badly chipped and torn, leaving the front and back covers weakly attached. The spine is also stained and has a large handwritten notation near the bottom. Old label inside front cover. The paper, being old newsprint, is tanned and brittle with age; there is some mild occasional chipping on the edges, and some pages are torn. LACKS the March 6, July 17, and Dec. 11 issues for 1897, and the Feb. 5, March 26, April 2, and May 21 issues for 1898. A fragile book in need of rebinding and gentle handling, but still useful for research and reference. Item #184273
