London: J. Walker and Co.; W. Baynes and Son; R. Baynes, et al. 1822. London Stereotype Edition. Leather. 8 vols. A set of eight small hardcover books bound in full golden-brown leather with gilt-decorated spines, marbled endpapers, and marbled foredges. Very good condition overall. Spines and edges lightly chafed, minimally affecting the gilt detailing. Some age-spotting on the boards. A previous owner's name sticker is inside each volume's front cover. Some pencil notes on volume I's blank endpapers have been erased, but are still faintly visible. Many pages foxed, but otherwise, the text is unmarked. The binding is secure across the set. The very thin ribbon page markers are brittle but still present. Item #176982
