MANUSCRIPT LEAF FROM A MEDIEVAL BIBLE IN THE LATIN VULGATE

A page taken from a medieval manuscript of the Latin Vulgate Bible. Features small, neat Gothic script on both sides of vellum paper; black ink with occasional red ink accents with an illuminated red and blue emblem at the top. Faint red embellishment along the right margin of one side. Very light intersecting vertical and horizontal lines on both sides. The leaf is in very good condition, with some light foxing on both sides and some mild crinkling, but no stains or tears. Item #175661

Produced ca. 14th century. Unmounted, but perfect for a small display. Measures approx. 7.5" x 5"
