Chicago: Richmond-Arnold Publishing Co., 1909. 1st Edition. Leather. 857p. A large hardcover book bound in dark brown, blind-stamped leather with gilt spine text. Fair condition; the front cover is nearly detached (but still holding due to the original reinforced hinge), and the back cover is starting to split off as well. One of the raised bands on the spine is heavily scuffed. The corners are rubbed through and the edges more lightly rubbed. Owner's inscription on first blank page. Despite the external damage, the pages are still securely bound, and the text is unmarked. NOTE: There is a distinct cigarette smell inside, as this copy came from a smoker's home. Item #174014
