Dayton: Dayton Ohio Herald, 1934. First edition. Paperback. The true first edition of this posthumous Dickens work. The work was published serially in American newspapers by United Features Syndicate. The newspaper clippings were then arranged and pasted into a softcover book. All of this occurred before the work was published as a regular book making this ephemeral scrapbook-style version the true first edition of Dickens' final book. This copy has an old stain on its cover else in good condition. The glue used by the published to mount the pages has bled through leaving discolored spots in the corner of each page. Item #102049
